Sylvia Jeanne Cerminara passed away November 15, 2022 at home, in Glen Cove, NY at the age of 93, surrounded by her family. She was born in Memphis, TN on December 1, 1928 to the late Earl Stanley and Doris (nee Grimes) Patterson and is preceded in death by her loving husband, Napoleon Cerminara and her beautiful daughter, Lia Ann Cerminara. Jeanne attended Southwestern at Memphis (Rhodes College), graduating in 1950 with a BA in History. She was a Kappa Delta Sorority sister and an acclaimed pianist. Shortly after moving to New York City for a position with American Airlines, Jeanne met and married Napoleon, the love of her life and enjoyed 45 years and three children together before his death in 2004. They traveled the world and lived in 11 homes during their marriage between New York, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and Savannah, GA, while Napoleon enjoyed his long careers at TWA and Revlon, Inc., respectively.  Jeanne was a devoted wife and loving mother who was involved in all aspects of her children's lives and was the pride and joy of the Cerminara family. Her sense of style, quick wit and her love and devotion towards her family will never be forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace.  Jeanne is survived by her daughter Maria Cerminara Acar (Bulent) of Glen Cove, NY and son Arthur Patrick Cerminara of West Palm Beach, FL. Funeral service will be held at 1PM, Monday November 21, in St. John's of Lattingtown, 325 Lattingtown Road, Locust Valley, NY. Burial will follow in Locust Valley Cemetery.
