Patricia Deasy Abruzzo from Glen Cove, NY, passed away in West Palm Beach, FL after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease on June 4, 2024, at the age of 88.
Patricia (Pat) was born in Glen Cove, NY on May 17, 1936.  She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Rosella Deasy.
She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, NY and attended Hofstra University where she met her late husband, Joseph Francis Abruzzo.  They were married for 62 years.
Pat's life was centered on her faith and her family.
She is survived by her beloved sister Joanne Sebetic, four children: Joanne Danis (Ronald), Frank, Joseph Jr. and Thomas (Patricia).  She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren: Joseph, Lauren Morrell, Christina Finizio, Alison Flores, Kimberly, Brianna, Victoria, Joseph III, Caroline and Nicholas.  She also leaves behind 4 Great-Grandchildren: Jeffrey Joseph (JJ) and Cooper Morrell, and Adriana and Anthony Finizio.
Pat's family extends loving gratitude to all of her caretakers and many friends and family members who prayed and supported her through her long illness and through her final days.
A funeral mass to celebrate her life will be held at Noon on Wednesday, June 12th, at St. Patrick's RC Church in Glen Cove, NY where Pat was Baptized, Confirmed and later married.
She will be laid to rest immediately following at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Upper Brookville, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research.
