McBride, Owen B. of Glen Cove on August 25, 2018. Former attorney and veteran. Owen served in WWII in the North African and European theaters. He graduated St. John's Law School in 1950 and practiced real estate, wills and trust law on Long Island for over 60 years. Owen was a member of Nassau Country Club from 1971 to 2011 and was Club Attorney.
Owen was the beloved husband of Vera and devoted father of Barry, Ellen, Tim, Scott, and Paul. In addition to his wife and children, Owen is survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. On his passing his son Paul wrote "The best person any of us will know is at peace". Funeral mass at St. Rocco's Church, Glen Cove on Monday, August 27 at 10:30.am. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to St. Rocco's Church, Glen Cove.Visitation 3-5 and 7-9 pm Sunday.
