Mary "Mae" Kita (nee Krul) passed away peacefully on Jan. 22, 2023. A long time resident of Bayville, Mary is survived by her loving husband Richard, her children Maryanne Bates (Tom), Charles (Jeanne-Marie), and Diane Turner (late George), and her grandchildren Emily, Catherine, Michael, Matthew and Kristen.   To many she was "Mary the bus driver" as she drove for LVCSD for over 20 years. She was a lifelong parishoner of the Church of St. Hyacinth as well as a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Robert Spitell Ameerican Legion Post1285.                    Visitation at the McLaughlin Kramer Megiel Funeral Home in Glen Cove on Wednesday, 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm.  Mass at the Church of St. Hyacinth in Glen Head, Thursday 10 am. Interment Locust Valley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Church of St. Hyacinth in Glen Head or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
