Lisa Campos Taliep, 63, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, October 9, 2021. She had a long, courageous fight against breast cancer and did so with much grace.

Lisa was born in Glen Cove, New York, and was the daughter of Nora and Joseph Campos. She graduated from Holy Trinity, Class of 1976, and went on to earn a Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management degree from City University of New York. Lisa cultivated her love for food and spent many years pursuing her passion as a chef, working for hotels, country clubs, and schools. Lisa is not only remembered for her exceptional culinary skills but her spirited personality and an even bigger heart.

Lisa was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Keith Taliep, children Tiana and Dylan Taliep, grandchild Scarlett Taliep, and sisters Deirdre Campos and Denise (James) Cherry.

Visitation Tuesday October 19, 2-5 pm at McLaughlin Kramer Megiel Funeral Home, 220 Glen St, Glen Cove. Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Patrick Wednesday 10 am, 235 Glen St, Glen Cove. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation .
