It is with great sadness & disbelief, that that family of Joy-Marie Zavaro announces her passing on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the age of 65. Joy will forever be lovingly remembered by her family. Daughter of Marguerite & late father Matthew. Sister to Cindy Larice, late sister Gay-Marie Zavaro (twin), Matthew Zavaro Jr. (Diane), & Kim Kern (Mike Grella) & Alex Kern. Deeply loving Aunt to Christopher Larice (Kristin), Alexa, Patrick (Daniella), & Maxx Kern. Great Aunt to Emerson & Savannah Marie. Joy put everyone she loved before herself. Joy loved making the people she cared about happy. She loved her twin cats, Mulli & Finni. Joy enjoyed going on cruises with family and friends. She loved trips to Montauk to see the lighthouse with Gay, Lisa, Ronnie, & John. Enjoyed daily visits from Lorena. Joy touched the hearts of everyone she encountered. Although she is no longer here with us physically, all of the beautiful memories we have with her will live on forever. Joy and Gay are reunited once again. Rest in paradise Gaw. We love you more, our beautiful angel. Until we meet again.

As per Joys wishes we will be having a burial ceremony at Holy Rood cemetery (111 Old Country Road, Westbury, NY 11590) this Friday 8/16 at 1:00PM. All are welcome to come and pay their last respects. The site location is "Section 22, Lot A, Grave 54". Joy is being buried with her sister Gay and father Matthew.
