It is with profound sadness that the family of Joan D'Ambrosio announces her passing on August 28, 2023 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by her husband, Lou D'Ambrosio. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Ann Marie (Joseph) Leone, Louis (Cynthia), and Michael.

Joan's grandchildren — Pamela, Melissa, and Louis Jr. — were the light of her life.

Joan was born on August 14, 1945 in Glen Cove, NY to Mary (Molloy) and Thomas McMahon. She was survived by her sister, Barbara (Frank) Minicozzi and her brother, the late Patrick (the late Carol) McMahon, as well as her in-laws: Marie (Carmine) Cocchiola, the late Philip (Barbara) D'Ambrosio, Joseph (the late Florence) D'Ambrosio, the late Concetta and Denis O'Regan, Frank (Anne) D'Ambrosio, Ann (the late Jim) Cook, Wendy (the late Bill) Quinn, and the late Peter McCabe. She dearly loved all of her nieces and nephews.

Joan took pride in raising her family and greatly valued her role as mother and, later on, as grandmother. She was a faithful member of the churches of St. Patrick and St. Rocco where she raised her children in the faith. Joan was also a loyal, beloved friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her warmth and kindness.

In lieu of flowers, consider donations in Joan's name to St. Francis Hospital Foundation (https://donate-st-francis-hospital.chsli.org/give/452547/#!/donation/checkout).
