Joan H. Brannan (nee Maffucci), of Glen Cove on November 6, 2024 passed peacefully with her family by her side. Dear wife of the late Thomas J. Brannan and devoted mother of Kevin (Susan) and Kerry Warner. Loving nana of grandchildren Matthew, Sean, Laura and Emily. Cherished sister to Carol (Ronald) Izzo and nieces Allison (O'Michael) Zara and Christine (Joseph) Purpura. Beloved daughter of Vincent and Helen Maffucci.

Joan enrolled at Hofstra College, prior to university status she would always note, and followed her passion to become an admired educator in the Syosset School District. She retired at 62 to wholeheartedly embrace her new role as grandmother. She was a selfless, kind friend to everyone she met.

Visitation at the McLaughlin Kramer Megiel Funeral Home 220 Glen Street, Glen Cove, NY on Sunday November 10th, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm. Service 10am on Monday at the Funeral Home. Interment Locust Valley Cemetery.
