George E. Rhein, Jr., 62, passed away unexpectedly in Bunnell, FL on October 31, 2021. He was born on March 29, 1959 in Elmhurst, Queens, New York to George and Mary (O'Donnell) Rhein.
Those who knew George best knew him as a dedicated, humble, and hard worker. For over 25 years, he proudly owned a successful photo shop in Glen Cove on Long Island. He loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, classic Corvettes, and NASCAR. He always looked forward to his next ride, especially when a niece, nephew, or god child joined him on the Harley - no wonder George was their favorite uncle! And let's not forget George dressing up as Santa Claus every Christmas and handing out presents to family and friends alike. More than anything, George enjoyed hanging out with close friends and getting the chance to spend time with those he cared about the most. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and family.
George was preceded in death by his parents George and Mary. He is survived by three siblings; his brother John (Sandy) Rhein, and sisters Rose Rhein and Terry (Peter) Brown. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews that he loved dearly: Olivia and John Michael Rhein; and Jack, Julia, and P.J. Brown.
