On January 15, 2022 Colette Otten Moore of Glen Cove, NY passed away with her loved ones at her side at the age of 82.

Colette was born to loving parents John and Kathryn "Connie" Otten of Detroit, MI and raised on Rosemont Avenue. Colette graduated from Redford HS as their Valedictorian and continued on to graduate from The University of Michigan. She met and married Brice Moore and they moved to a few places on the east coast and then arrived in Port Washington NY. A short time later they moved to Glen Cove where they bought a house in Dosoris Woods in a great neighborhood where a couple of kids arrived and neighbors became family for the next 50 years. She became the proud loving mother of Brett and Brooke Moore and spent a lifetime supporting and loving them in every way she could.

Colette is survived by her daughter Brooke, her son Brett and his wife Tara and her three grandchildren Casey Kathryn, Brian Edward, and Cameron James Moore. Casey married Alex Sullivan and blessed Colette with two great grandchildren Elizabeth Marie and John Nicholas Joseph.

Colette displayed a servants heart. She was an elementary school teacher, an executive assistant, and worked with the Glen Cove Child Day Care Center until she retired after 35 years. She loved kids and loved seeing them learn and grow. She was very proud of all of her kids.

She lived a life dedicated to demonstrating her Christian ideals and was an active participant at the Community Gospel Church, She was always there to help in any way that she could.

Colette will be greatly missed by the many who loved her dearly. All can find comfort in the knowledge that she is rejoicing with the loved ones that have gone before her and celebrating with our Heavenly Father. God Bless You Colette Moore.
